Saugatuck Getaway

Greetings everyone,

Welcome to the latest, and long overdue entry.  It has been a crazy year, and we can't believe we have not put anything up in over a year.  We beg your forgiveness.

We decided to celebrate our 16th anniversary a little early this year, and wanted to do a little get away.  So we chose a place we have not been in several years,  Saugatuck, MI.

We decided to go with a Bed and Breakfast, and after way too much research and deliberation we went back to one of the first places we looked at.  We chose The Ivy Inn Bed and Breakfast in the heart of down town.  The Ivy Inn was perfect!  I know I'm going to sound like an advertisement, but it was steps away from everywhere.  Once we parked our car, we didn't need to drive the rest of the time we were there.

View from the side of our balcony, Mount Baldy

A good place to watch our Blackhawks take on the Ducks!  They won that game thank goodness!

One of our favorite places in Saugatuck.  The Red Dock Bar.  Had a great time there.  Red Stripe was cold, and the food was awesome!

One of the best views from Red Dock.

We highly recommend an afternoon cruise on The Star of Saugatuck.  Great way to learn about the town, and enjoy some quiet time on the water.

One of the great signs seen downtown.

A great way to end our trip, some wine and apps on the deck of The Butler

So in closing, we'd like to raise a glass to Saugatuck, MI.  We had a great time in the 51 hours we were there, and cannot wait to get back.  It is only two and half hours from the condo, so a few day trips are planned this summer to enjoy this great beach town.

So until next time, and we hope it isn't 14 months till our next entry --

Keep that Shutter moving!

Bristol Renaissance Faire 2013

Hello again everyone,

Since it is snowing, and we want to think happy thoughts, we decided to post something from the Bristol Renaissance Faire.  We go there every year, and have the best time.  It is so kid friendly and all the performers there are top notch.  We cannot wait for July, and hope this helps you out as well.  Here are a few of the photos from the 2013 season that will help you get through the next 154 days until they gates.  HUZZAH!

So there is just a sampling of the photos we took last year.  If you or anyone you know is in these photos and would like a copy, please contact us at

Hope you all are having a February 1st, and stay tuned for more photos coming soon.

Until next time, keep that shutter moving, and Huzzah!!!

Hello again and greetings from a frozen Chicago,

Just a quick sample of 40 plus of our prints you can see at Fireside Chicago Ravenswood.  We had a great time setting up there last week.  We are looking forward to going back and seeing if any our prints have been purchased.  Okay, we really just want to go have one of their burgers and craft beers.

That is it for now, stay tuned for more to come soon.

If you have any questions or want to see more of our work, please free to contact us and we can let you know where you can go.  We also have product at Witchy Wearables in Midlothian if you would like to stop by.

Fireside Photo Exhibit

Hello again everyone,

We know it has been a long time, but we are back.  A new year, with lots of new things.  One thing we are trying is something very new to us.  One October day we decided to do a Ghost Getaway in downtown Chicago.  We started our day at the Fireside Restaurant with some incredible burgers and ghost stories of the restaurant and nearby Rosehill Cemetery.  We were lucky enough to be asked to show our photos in the dining room.  So after a little preparation we set up this past weekend.

Here are a few photos of the what the dining room looks now.

So there you go, our first photo exhibit.  We only showed you few of the photos we put up.  We will be posting one photo a day on the blog.  If you want to see all of them, just go to Fireside and check them out.  Don't forget to grab a burger and beer while you are there.  Joe recommends the Gouda Burger, and Nikki recommends the Black and Bleu burger.  Not to mention a beer selection that is out of this world.

Until next time, stay tuned, and keep that shutter moving,

Joe and Nikki
