Southwestern Michigan Wineries Part 1

Hello again everyone,

This latest entry is from one of our new favorite places, Southwestern Michigan. We started up at Karma Vista winery in Caloma, MI and ended up at Hickory Hills Winery. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of wine that they had in the region. It is only two and a half hours from out condo. That is one of the fun things about living in the South Chicago suburbs. We are so close to so many cool little getaways.

Well that ends the first posting from this trip. Nikki had a lot of fun getting creative with this getaway. We have more photos on the way, so check back shortly.

Like always, until next time, keep that shutter moving.

Launching Pad in Wilmington

Good evening everyone out there,

The other day I went back to my hometown of Wilmington to do a few things around my mother's house. I have driven past one of my favorite restaurants of all time more than I can count, and have always wanted to stop and take a few pictures. The old Gemini Giant, has stood guard on the edge of Wilmington for longer than I can remember. I had to stop and take a few pictures, because there is a chance that it may not be there for very much longer. I've had too many good memories there, and now I finally got my pictures. Here are a just a few. Nikki did some affects to them, and can't wait to get the rest of them done as well. Here you go for now, enjoy!

I've been to the start of old Route 66 in downtown Chicago, and have always wanted to drive the length of the old great highway. Who knows how much longer roadside oddities like the Giant will be there. Maybe one day I can highjack Nikki and Gwen and turn left on old route 66, and see where it takes us. Better hurry, the world is slowly taking back place like The Launching Pad, and before we know it, it will only be left to us in photos.

Sorry to get so heavy, deep and real on you, but I just wanted to get this off my chest.

Like always, keep that shutter moving!

Bike Night at the Tilted Kilt

Greetings again everyone,

Just a note of caution, I went outside my comfort zone the other night and took some shots that I wouldn't have tried before. You will not be seing any lighthouses, water, or plants. Instead you'll be seing chrome, chrome, and some more chrome. I was at the Tilted Kilt the other night, and was asked by the General Manager to take a few pictures and see what I could do. So hold tight and see what came out!

All in all I had a fun night. I took the pictures, and handed them over to the Boss, Nikki, and she worked her magic. The things she can do with her new Mac Book are incredible! This just makes taking photos so much more fun, because all the pictures are gonna come out looking like they should be in a magazine of some sort.

That is it for now, please let us know what you think of this little adventure out of the norm. Take care, and until next time, keep that shutter moving
